In 2003, Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. completed the construction of the Birch River Bridge in Nicholas County, WV. This project involved demolition of the existing steel truss bridge, construction of concrete abutments and piers, and setting of concrete box beams. Also, included was the construction of approaches and the placing of hot mix asphalt. This project was constructed for the West Virginia Division of Highways.
In 2006, Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. completed the Wellington Double Arch Bridge over Spring Creek. This project is located outside of Spencer, WV. Work on this job consisted of building bridge approaches, setting of steel beams, pouring the deck and parapet walls and placing hot mix asphalt. Work also included demolition of the existing bridge and sidewalk construction.
In 2007, Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. completed the North Fork Trail Bridge outside of Richwood, WV. Work on this project included construction of caissons, two abutments and placement of a single span pedestrian bridge. Also included in the project was the construction of two trail heads.
In 2008, Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. completed the replacement of the Catawba Bridge on County Route 74 in Marion County WV. Work consisted of installing and removing a temporary bridge, removing the existing bridge superstructure, rehabilitation of the existing abutments, construction of a wingwall, placing new pre-stressed concrete box beams, and placing hot mix asphalt on the approaches.
In Spring 2012 Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. performed excavation work for the new Gassaway Baptist Church. Work included excation to grade, construction of a new access road and drainage improvements
Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. performed all excavation work for the new CVS store in Gassaway, WV. Work included excavtion of the site to grade, installation of the drainage structures and constructing the access points. Meadows Stone & Paving, Inc. also supplied most of the crushed aggregate used by the other sub-contractors. This work was done with the prime contractor, Fortney and Weygandt.
